ECOM and CelsiusPro partner to support Indonesian coffee farmers with parametric insurance
We are proud to announce our partnership with CelciusPro which will help to develop parametric insurance solutions, designed to help coffee farmers in Indonesia manage increasing climate risks.
As climate-related events become more frequent and severe in Southeast Asia, accessible and affordable risk management tools are becoming increasingly important for agricultural communities. Parametric insurance uses predefined triggers (such as rainfall or temperature thresholds) based on climate data to enable faster and more transparent payouts following extreme weather events.
Through this collaboration, ECOM and CelsiusPro aim to pilot insurance solutions tailored to coffee farmers, helping to better manage climate risk, strengthen resilience, and support more stable livelihoods in coffee-growing regions.
We look forward to making an impact in this area alongside CelsiusPro and our partners on the ground.
