Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference Amsterdam
25/04/23
Charles Jannet and Zarina Giyasova from our global cotton team together with our global carbon manager Yazmin Leon Casos were delighted to attend the Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference in Amsterdam last week.
During the two-day business conference organized by Innovation Forum, it was highlighted that brands and retailers in the textile industry must meet regulatory requirements like circular economy, and integrated supply chains. It's also crucial to build bridges across supply chain stakeholders and increase traceability by collecting primary data to reach net-zero targets.
To achieve this, there is a need for a paradigm shift towards:
- ✔ regenerative practices
- ✔ a holistic ecosystem approach in the industry
- ✔ brand durability and second-hand/recycling programs
At ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd., with first-hand local market knowledge and reliable supply chain solutions, we offer certified regenerative and organic cotton from different origins, including the US, Brazil and the EU, and are fully traceable by Product DNA.
