In Loving Memory of Jon Stefenson
With profound sadness, ATUSA announces the death of our esteemed colleague, Jon Stefenson, on October 31st, after a months long battle with Cardiac Amyloidosis.
Jon Started his remarkable career trading Coffee in 1980 with ACLI International, the well known commodity Dealer based in White Plains, New York. Cargill eventually took over ACLI, and Jon transferred to their London office to trade Robustas. In 1990, he joined Atlantic (USA) in Manhattan, and a few years later he helped establish the Atlantic (USA) Vietnam Rep Office with Mdm. Kim Dung in Ho Chi Minh City. He headed the Coffee Trading Team at ATUSA for several years before his retirement this past March.
Among his many accomplishments, Jon was a past Chairman of the Green Coffee Association, a past Director of the National Coffee Association, a past Director of the Coffee Grader's committee at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and a past Board Member of the Longshore Men's Golf Association.
Jon is survived by his wife Susan, his son Eric, Eric's wife Hayley Stevens, his daughters Andrea and Lauren, his brother Dana, and his sister Hope.
