ECOM Japan's 20th Anniversary
Article by: Teddy Esteve
As we celebrate the remarkable milestone of the 20th anniversary of ECOM Japan, Ltd. (EJL) in Japan, I am humbled to reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken together. Our foundation there was laid by the three musketeers Abe San, Tomomi San, and Miki Tamai San, who began with us when we acquired Cargill Coffee, marking a pivotal moment in our history. ECOM has been present in Japan for many years with Esteve Liaison Agency in Osaka but this is the first time we had a full fledged Japanese company.
Over these last two decades, we've navigated the ever-evolving landscape of the coffee industry and thrived, thanks to the team's dedication and hard work. The track record of EJL is probably one of the best in the group.
We managed to establish a foothold with the largest roasters in Japan in our early days, while also working our way into the Specialty industry. Today, our name is respected within the industry, which can be seen as a testament to our dedication, passion, and commitment.
As we reminisce about our past achievements, let us also look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. I’m sure that the team will continue to elevate ECOM's presence and impact, shaping the future of the coffee industry in Japan and beyond.
Thanks to the ECOM Japan’s team for their unwavering dedication, and here's to more years of growth, innovation, and shared success.
