Guatemala’s Integrity-powered by BanQu Launch
After the successful pilot of Integrity powered by BanQu in Vietnam and Nigeria, we are excited to announce that our Guatemala team has successfully launched BanQu. A first for the Americas and pivotal to our global coffee rollout!
Teddy Esteve, CEO Coffee: “Not only does this establish a strong foundation in the America’s from a traceability perspective but sets us up to rapidly connect all of ECOM, better connecting our farmers to our supply chain and providing our clients with a single, consistent and auditable view of farmer to our supply chain.”
Despite a rapid deployment, the team has diligently reviewed data collection, management systems and processes, which has informed further improvements of our new system, which will enable us to work more efficiently locally and across the group.
Championed by Fernando Quintanal, Guatemala Country Manager, and Eric Heuze, Guatemala Country Manager Assistant, the ECOM First Mile and BanQu project spent two weeks in our main office (in Guatemala City) to test the solution of the sustainability and farmer procurement processes as well as training our end users in both online and offline functionality, on mobiles and pcs.
Eric Heuze: “I want to thank the BanQu and First Mile ECOM teams for their support. BanQu’s first-mile delivery integration system provides us with greater visibility into our sustainable supply chain, enabling us to operate more effectively.
With ECOM's extensive ground network and BanQu’s software, we can strengthen our relationships with thousands of farmers and customers, fostering a more sustainable and equitable coffee ecosystem. These efforts contribute to our long-term goal of addressing other pressing economic realities, including poverty and sustainability. Thank you for your partnership as we pursue lasting impact.”

Paul McNougher, Chief Transformation Officer: “As we write this, the First Mile and BanQu project team are currently in Cameroon, Uganda and Cote D’Ivoire, taking the same “boots-on-the-ground” approach testing the solution in the field and through the warehouses and factory before heading to Mexico, Ecuador and Peru with more countries to come in 2025. I am incredibly proud of the scale we have achieved, in a short period of time, as we continue to deliver on our One ECOM Customer and Farm First strategy.”
