Love your origins: Meet Brayan Aguirre
By: Cecilia Toro
ECOM is an origins-based business, which means that a large number of our employees are based in countries where sourcing happens. "Love your origins" is a statement that reflects the hard work by our employees and a key area of focus: our global family of experts in their field.
In this article, you will meet our colleague Brayan Aguirre quality analyst at ECOM Peru, and how his passion for coffee and cocoa beverages helps educate local farmers.
Brayan is one of our quality analysts in Peru, known for his passion for coffee. Originally from the Huánuco region, Brayan is a Food Engineer, graduated from the National Agrarian University of the Jungle in Tingo María. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree and has dedicated his career to specializing in coffee and cocoa.
Brayan's decision to move to Pangoa was driven by his desire to learn more about central jungle coffee and discover the profiles and stories associated with this crop. ECOM offered him the opportunity to continue his learning in an environment he is passionate about, facilitating an enriching transition.
Brayan uses his knowledge in preparing coffee and cocoa beverages to educate producers about the potential of their products. By showing them how their beans can be transformed into high-quality beverages, he motivates them to adopt better practices in harvesting and post-harvesting. This not only improves the quality of the coffee and cocoa produced, but also strengthens the value chain and promotes greater satisfaction among the farmers.
Brayan represents the commitment to quality and passion for coffee that characterize ECOM’s employees. His career is a testament to the importance of continuous education, passion for work, and the ability to adapt and learn in new environments, contributing to the growth and success of both the company and the agricultural community.
