International Women’s Day 2025

Last week, we celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) centred around the theme “Accelerating Action”, a call for global efforts to fast-track gender equality. The #AccelerateAction campaign highlights the urgency of this mission: At the current pace, the World Economic Forum estimates it will take until 2158– five generations– to achieve gender parity. This emphasises the need for swift, decisive actions to address systemic barriers and biases faced by women in all areas. 

In recognition of IWD, ECOM hosted a series of global discussions exploring critical challenges for women in the workforce, such as imposter syndrome, unconscious biases, and structural barriers. 

These sessions featured insightful panel discussions, where speakers shared their views and personal experiences on how accelerating action empowers women in the workplace and beyond. The discussions were followed by an open Q&A session and the sharing of various success stories from women at ECOM who have achieved remarkable milestones in their careers and personal lives.

ECOM remains committed to accelerating action and promoting equality and inclusivity, striving to make International Women’s Day both a celebration and a catalyst for meaningful progress.
